Social Studies= We are studying the chapter called "Where Am I in the World?". We will be discussing our city, state, country, and world. This is a great way to incorporate Earth Day which is April 22nd. Have a discussion at home about the various ways your family can take care of our Earth.

Math=The next chapter in our math curriculum is Measurement. The kids always seem to enjoy the various hands on ways of learning about measurement. We will measure with standard and nonstandard units of measurement. We will measure length, weight and capacity.

Language Arts=The two new sight words are "and" and "there". Keep practicing at home. Today we took a little "quiz" and identified beginning, ending and middle sounds of words. The kids did a super great job with this. We will be reading a fiction and a non-fiction story this week and discussion how they are different. Our letter of the week is "Uu".
