Language Arts=We will continue to read and discuss realistic and fantasy fiction stories. We will learn about the letter "Ee". Placing the letter "e" in the middle of two consonants will open the door to the possibility of reading many more words. We are really good at decoding (sounding out) words with an "a", "i" or "e" in the middle. Our new sight words are we and want. Continue to practice the sight words as our list grows and grows.

Math=We are moving on to the next chapter which will teach about money and time. We will practice telling time to the hour and half hour. We will also learn the names and value of the coins.

Science= Ask your child about our guppies and goldfish. We are having a great time observing and recording the parts of the fish as well as what happens each day.

I really enjoyed meeting with each of you during conferences last week. It is a great way for me to get to know more about what your child is like when not in school. Thanks for taking the time to attend the conference, it shows your child that you value school. Thank you for supporting me in all of my efforts.
